Ron Diehl and Friends

Ron Diehl, saxophone Rob Vetter, trumpet Piano, Bob Smith Glen Dewey, String Bass Ryan Diehl, drums   After graduating from William Allen High School, Allentown, PA in 1960, Ron attended West Chester State University where he performed with the Criterions (the University Ensemble) and played bassoon with the orchestra. Ron studied saxophone privately with Tom Heinze, Fred Greenawalt, Joe Allard, and world renowned artist Phil Woods. Ron studied bassoon with Milton Foch and flute with Britton Johnson.   In 1965, Ron became a member of the United States Navel Academy Band performing on Saxophone, Bassoon, Flute, and Piccolo. In 1973, Ron was selected to play with the Navy's official Jazz Ensemble, "The Commodores.
