Alyson Williams

Vocalist Alyson Williams, born in Harlem, New York to a swing band leader and dancer-turned-nurse, began dancing at four years old. Her lithe movements and rhythm eventually won her a dance scholarship to Marymount Manhattan College. While at Marymount, she fervently pursued musical theater with the hope of landing on Broadway. She has performed in over 12 hit musicals, including a Broadway run of Rollin' on the TOBA One Mo' Time and the 25th anniversary revival of the Wiz with George Faison. Ms.

Soulful jazz vocalist Alyson Williams (7:30-9:00) can be heard on her most recent release It’s About Time (Expansion Records). Tyris (6:00-6:30) has collaborated with fellow Chicago musicians Mike & Gina Thurston, Monique Whittington, and Euclid Gray, and renowned Indian artist Jai Walia. Wade O. Brown (6:40-7:20), a Detroit-born vocalist and keyboardist, has performed with Aretha Franklin and Quincy Jones, among others, and can be heard on All Night, All Love.

This performance will take place on the South Paza.
