Mark Geary

Mark Geary moved from his native Dublin, Ireland to New York City in 1992 to be closer to his older brother Karl, who had moved to the U.S. and co-founded the renowned Manhattan club Sin-é (where Geary shared frequent bills with Jeff Buckley during the legendary run).  The young Geary, a rookie singer-songwriter, quickly sensed that he was out of his league, landing at Sin-é in the early ’90s. “It was a huge amount of pressure,” explains the singer, who had had no prior experience playing in front of a live audience.
