Pradeep Ratnayake

Pradeep Ratnayake, Sitar Wijeratne Ranatunga, Tabla, UdakkiKarunaratne Bandara, Kandyan Drum, Tammatamma, Ghatam Lakshman Joseph de Saram, Violin Alston Joachim, Bass Guitar  These are original compositions by Pradeep Ratnayake. At the heart of most of his work, a traditional melody of Sri Lanka can be found, taken from the folk songs of his people or from the complex and rich tradition of dance in his country. Weaving that into the core of his work, he celebrates also the other music traditions of the world, like classical, jazz and rock, finding in all, a beauty that inspires and unites.
