Gifted students from the D.C. community perform a program of classical works.

Celebrating its 51st season, this orchestra composed of young people ages 4 to 19 plays holiday favorites.

Maestro Jesus Manuel Berard conducts these gifted students in a performance of Czech composer Antonín Dvorák’s acclaimed Symphony No. 9, From the New World. Presented in cooperation with the Embassy of the Czech Republic. Part of Kids Euro Festival 2011.

Celebrating its 50th season, the DC Youth Orchestra Program presents its most advanced ensemble, the Youth Orchestra. This orchestra is one of twelve ensembles in the program, and under the direction of Maestro Jesus Manuel Berard. Tonight's performance is a sing-a-long of everyone's favorite choruses from Handel's Messiah.

The DC Youth Orchestra performs a concert of original compositions written by young composers from around the globe. Presented in cooperation with the Organization of the American States (OAS).

Participants ranging in age from 4 to 19 perform a vibrant and varied program. Tonight's concert includes students who are at levels K and L of the program and make up the most advanced ensemble called the Yourth Orchestra.

The Youth Orchestra of the DC Youth Orchestra Program, comprised of students from throughout the DC metropolitan area, performs classical work by Mozart, Beethoven, and Haydn.  This is the Kennedy Center debut of the Youth Orchestra's new conductor, Maestro Jesus Manuel Berard.
