About the DC Youth Orchestra Program (DCYOP):Every year, almost 800 children play in the DC Youth Orchestra Program (DCYOP), making it the largest youth orchestra in the Washington D.C. area. The DCYOP offers a comprehensive music education program that serves young people in the greater D.C.

Celebrating its 50th season, the DC Youth Orchestra Program presents its most advanced ensemble, the Youth Orchestra. This orchestra is one of twelve ensembles in the program, and under the direction of Maestro Jesus Manuel Berard. Tonight's performance is a sing-a-long of everyone's favorite choruses from Handel's Messiah.
