Carol Kang

Caroline Kang has performed throughout the United States, Canada, and France as a chamber musician and orchestral player, both on modern and baroque cello. She is a founding member of the Tarab Cello Ensemble, which has commissioned over twenty new works for cello octet since its inception in 2001, as well as the Madrone String Quartet, which specializes in baroque and classical repertoire. Caroline has participated in many music festival, including L’Acadèmie Internationale du Moulin d’Andè, Aspen, Bowdoin, Tafelmusik and Longy Baroque summer institutes, American Bach Soloists’ Summer Fest, and the Boston Early Music Fringe. Caroline holds degrees from the Eastman School of Music and Ithaca College, and has studied with Steven Doane, Elizabeth Simkin, and Phoebe Carral. Ms.
