University of Maryland Dance Ensemble

Maryland Dance Ensemble (MDE) is a repertory company in residence in the Department of Dance at the University of Maryland. The department and company are housed in the new Clarice Smith Performing Arts Center. MDE presents two major programs a year in the Dance Theatre of the Clarice Smith Performing Arts Center. Works created by visiting artists, faculty and students are auditioned for each concert series. The ensemble also presents an annual showcase of work in the larger Kay Theatre in the Clarice Smith Performing Arts Center.
