Jean-Baptiste André started to practice gymnastics at age 5. Later on, he switched to circus and discovered a wide space for expression. In college, he practiced theater and dance. At the Centre National des Arts du Cirque in Châlons-en-Champagne (The National High Circus School), he was trained as an acrobat in two circus specialties (handstands and art of the clown). In 2001, André worked on short pieces called "modules," which he continues to perform on stage and in art galleries.
