The mission of CrossCurrents Dance Company is to reveal the strength of human stories through the language of dance. CrossCurrents seeks to frame and capture the intricate web of shared experiences that connect people to one other and to larger communities. Praised by The Washington Post for its “finely etched dancing and dramatically cogent choreography,” the company is driven by the transformative power of dance and a dedication to producing concert work of high artistic caliber. Co-artistic directors Helen Hayes and Debra Kanter, long-time dance teachers and artists in the Metropolitan D.C.
