Jazzdanz/dc is a jazz dance performance company committed to creating works that explore life’s dance through the style, rhythm, and theatricality of jazz dance. The company was founded in 1997 by Artistic Director Douglas Yeuell. Jazzdanz/dc creates dynamic and innovative works that celebrate the ageless pursuit of movement and creative self-expression. The company has received critical acclaim for its energetic and enthusiastic performances, and has performed at numerous venues including the Jack Guidone Theater at Joy of Motion Dance Center, DancePlace, Rockville Civic Center Theater, The Catholic University of America, Gunston Arts Center, and Richmond’s Grace Street Theater. Jazzdanz/dc is a resident arts partner of Joy of Motion Dance Center in Washington, D.
