Ms. Coburn began the 2008-09 season at the Wexford Festival Opera as Vittoria in Pedrotti's Tutti in Maschera, followed by Carmina Burana with the New Jersey Symphony Orchestra, and Messiah with the Philadelphia Orchestra and the Seattle Symphony. Ms. Coburn revisited the roles of Genio and Euridice in Haydn's L'anima del filosofo with the Handel and Haydn Society at Boston's Symphony Hall in January, followed by a recital with tenor Lawrence Brownlee at the Kennedy Center in Washington D.C. In the spring of 2009, Ms. Coburn joined Bryn Terfel in concert with the Florida Grand Opera Superstar Series, followed by her company debut as Gilda in Portland Opera's production of Rigoletto.

In the 2007-08 season, Ms. Coburn returned to Washington Concert Opera as Elvira in I Puritani, followed by her Tulsa Opera debut in the title role of Lakme. In March, she sang Bach's B minor Mass with the Seattle Symphony and in April, she made her Washington National Opera debut as Asteria in Tamerlano, followed by her return to the Metropolitan Opera as Yue-Yang in the revival of The First Emperor. In the summer of 2008, she returned to Cincinnati Opera as Lucie in Lucie de Lammermoor, and ended the summer as Giulietta in I Capuleti e i Montecchi at Glimmerglass Opera.

In the 2006-07 season, Sarah Coburn returned to the Metropolitan Opera to sing Princess Yue-Yang in the world premiere of Tan Dun's The First Emperor. She also performed the title role in Utah Opera's production of Lucia di Lammermoor, followed by the role of Kitty in the world premiere of Anna Karenina at Florida Grand Opera and Opera Theater of St. Louis. In the summer of 2007, she performed the title role in Linda di Chamounix at the Caramoor Music Festival and returned to Glimmerglass Opera as Euridice and Genio in Haydn's L'anima del filosofo.

The 2005-06 season included Oscar in Opera Company of Philadelphia's production of Un Ballo in Maschera, an Avery Fisher Hall debut in Carmina Burana with the National Chorale, a Seattle Opera debut as Adele in Die Fledermaus, Mozart's Mass in c minor with the Seattle Symphony and a recital presented by the Civic Music Association of Oklahoma City. She also sang Amenaide in Tancredi with Washington Concert Opera, followed by Adele in Act II of Die Fledermaus with Los Angeles Opera's Placido Domingo and Friends Gala. She returned to Chicago Opera Theater as Blondchen in Die Entführung aus dem Serail, and in the summer of 2006, Ms. Coburn debuted with Cincinnati Opera as Olympia in Les contes d'Hoffmann and as Oscar in Un Ballo in Maschera.

In the 2004-05 season, Ms. Coburn sang Constance in Dialogues of the Carmelites with New York City Opera, Angelo in La Resurrezione at Chicago Opera Theater, Oscar in Un Ballo in Maschera with Florida Grand Opera, and the title role in Lucie de Lammermoor in her return to Glimmerglass Opera.

The 2003-04 season included Joanna in Sweeney Todd in her debut season with New York City Opera, Adina in L'Elisir d'amore with Lyric Opera of Kansas City, Gilda in Rigoletto with Indianapolis Opera, and the title role in Gilbert and Sullivan's Patience at Glimmerglass Opera. Ms. Coburn also made her Metropolitan Opera debut as the First Bridesmaid in Le Nozze di Figaro.

The 2002-03 season included Amore in Orfeo ed Euridice at Caramoor Opera, a return to Florida Grand Opera as Sandrina in La Finta Giardiniera and Susanna in Le Nozze di Figaro, Adele in Die Fledermaus at Michigan Opera Theater, and Rosina in Il Barbiere di Siviglia with Wolf Trap Opera Company. On the concert stage, Ms. Coburn appeared with the Haddonfield Symphony as soloist in Carmina Burana at Philadelphia's Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts, Messiah at the Midland Center for Performing Arts, and as soloist in Carmina Burana with the National Symphony Orchestra.

During the 2001-02 season, Ms. Coburn sang Norina in Don Pasquale in her debut with the Florida Grand Opera, Constance in Dialogues of the Carmelites with Glimmerglass Opera, and Clorinda in La Cenerentola with the Seattle Opera Young Artists Program. Concert appearances included Carmina Burana with the Turtle Creek Chorale and the Dallas Wind Symphony, an appearance on the German television program Stars von Morgen, the premiere of John Zorn's Chimeras with the Seattle Chamber Players, as well as joining the Seattle Chamber Players in Moscow for Cold Alternativa: Images of Contemporary American Music, and Handel's Messiah with the Bach Society of St. Louis.

Sarah Coburn was a Winner of the 2004 George London Foundation Awards, a 2004 recipient of a Sara Tucker Study Grant from the Richard Tucker Foundation, a 2004 Jensen Foundation Award Winner, a 2003 Liederkranz Foundation Award Winner, a 2002 Opera Index Career Grant recipient, and was a National Grand Finalist in the 2001 Metropolitan Opera National Council Auditions. She received a Master of Music degree from Oklahoma City University and a Bachelor of Music Education degree from Oklahoma State University.
