Kerry Ramblers

The Kerry Ramblers represent the County Kerry, Ireland, Ballydonoghue / Lisselton branch of Comhaltas Ceoltóirí Eireann (CCE). Comhaltas Ceoltóirí Eireann (CCE) promotes traditional Irish music, song and dance in Ireland and worldwide.The Kerry Ramblers dance group is made up of eight children who won the All-Ireland 2007 Set Dancing Championship for ages twelve and under. Set dancing is similar to square dancing and traces its roots to the 18th century French court quadrille style of dancing. The contemporary, Irish version of this is very percussive and rhythmic.
