Elmaz Abinader and the Country of Origin Band

Author, poet, and playwright Elmaz Abinader won the 2002 Goldies Award for Literature, a PEN/Josephine Miles award for poetry, and two Drammies (Oregon’s Drama Circle) for her performances. Author of a memoir, Children of the Roojme (University of Wisconsin Press); a collection of poetry, In the Country of My Dreams… (Sufiwarrior Publishing); and several one-woman shows, including Thirty Two Mohammeds and Country of Origin.
