Winters Mill High School

Winters Mill High School, Westminster, MD, has developed an outstanding, comprehensive fine arts education program in the seven years since the Carroll County Public school opened in fall of 2002. The academy school has created a rigorous supportive learning environment where all students develop their potential through the arts. Arts education is an essential component of the WMHS Arts, Humanities, and Communication Academy. Courses in the visual arts, music, dance, and theater compose the central offerings of the performing arts, visual arts and design, humanities, and communication academy strands. All WHMS students are encouraged to enroll in arts education courses and to participate in arts extracurricular activities and opportunities.
