Evgeny Nikitin

Evgeny Nikitin was born in Murmansk in 1973 and entered the Saint Petersburg Conservatory in 1992. Aged 23, he was engaged as a soloist with the Mariinsky Theatre. Invitations now take him to sing in major theatres and festivals through Europe, the United States and Japan.  2002 marked his debut at the Metropolitan Opera House as Dolokhov (War and Peace).  His operatic returns to New York include Colline (La Bohème), Pogner (Die Meistersinger von Nurnberg), Fasolt (Das Rheingol) and Oreste (Elektra).
