József Lendvay, Jr.
Born in 1974 in Budapest, Paganini and Liszt Prize recipient József Lendvay, Jr. entered The Franz Liszt Academy of Music in Budapest at the age of eight. There he was the student of Miklós Szenthelyi, and frequently participated in master classes led by Yehudi Menuhin, Ida Haendel, Igor Oistrakh, Ruggiero Ricci, Jaap van Zweden, and Sándor Végh. This outstanding artist has performed with great success beyond his native land, performing in Switzerland, Japan, the Netherlands and the United States. He has received invitations to perform with the Rotterdam Philharmonic, Netherlands Radio Orchestra, Los Angeles Philharmonic, City of Birmingham Orchestra, and the Orchestre de la Suisse Romande, working with such great conductors as Iván Fischer and Sir Simon Rattle, among others.
