Arachne Aerial Arts

Arachne Aerial Arts specializes in elevated duo performance for theaters, museums, galleries, special events and non-traditional venues. The company’s work has been presented locally at venues including The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, The Corcoran Gallery of Art, Dance Place, Club Nation, Torpedo Factory Art Center, Woolly Mammoth Theater, The Atlas and the Clarice Smith Center for the Performing Arts. The DC-based duo also performs at corporate events throughout the region. Co-founders Andrea Burkholder and Sharon Witting began flying together in 2000 and have continued their intensive training at the New England Center for Circus Arts with Elsie Smith and Serenity Smith Forchion, former members of Cirque du Soleil.
