Cabezas de Cera

The Players:Ramses Luna - Sax, Clarinet, Flute, VocalsMauricio Sotello - GuitarFrancisco Sotello - PercussionCabezas de Cera (Wax Heads) is a contemporary music group, with a proposal characterized by the combination of not so conventional instruments (Chapman Stick, Wind Midi, electro acoustic drum and twelve-string guitar) and unique instruments created by the group's drummer (Charrofono, Jarana Prisma, Tambor kitai and Tricordio). This results in a unique, experimental and vanguardist music, both local and global, that balances acoustic and electronic sounds.Hecho en México is CDC's most recent release, which summarizes more than a decade of career and a year of hard work with the tours of Brazil, South Korea, Spain, France and Dominican Republic. This album, completely recorded live, is based on the need to catch the energy generated by a concert, and on the process of maturing music not at the studio but on stage, with the public acting as a judge and main drive. To achieve this, CDC directly caught various performances given from late February to early July 2007 in different cities in Mexico.
