Peter Lerman

Rising star theater composer and lyricist Peter Lerman, joined by Alison Weisgall, Brandon Victor Dixon, Bruno Nasto, and Aron Rider, entertains audiences with his own musical compositions in an evening of cabaret.Lerman’s most recent musical, for which wrote the book, lyrics, and music, entitled To Memphis (with the intention of returning), was awarded the Kennedy Center's American College Theater Festival Musical Theater Award. Lerman earned his bachelor’s degree in Music from Columbia University in New York City in 2005 where he wrote music and lyrics for the Columbia Varsity Show. He was a participant in the Johnny Mercer Songwriting Workshop, the BMI Musical Theatre Workshop, and is a member of ASCAP and the Dramatists Guild. He lives in Virginia where he is currently at work on an album and an original musical.
