In 1980 Glenn Garlick was accepted by Mstislav Rostropovich into the cello section of the National Symphony Orchestra, and in 1995 Leonard Slatkin appointed Mr. Garlick to the position of Assistant Principal Cellist. Mr. Garlick has appeared as concerto soloist with the Arlington Symphony, Catholic University Orchestra, Greeley (Colorado) Philharmonic, Golden (Colorado) Symphony, and Eastman/Rochester Philharmonic. He is a founding member of the Manchester String Quartet, established in 1981.
