Rudolph Vrbsky

Rudolph Vrbsky, Assistant Principal Oboe of the National Symphony Orchestra, studied with Ray Still at Northwestern University and Sol Schoenbach at the Curtis Institute and coached extensively with Marcel Moyse. He has toured with the Brandenburg Ensemble, Music from Marlboro, and the Aulos Wind Quintet, which was a recipient of the Naumberg Chamber Music Award. He has appeared at the Mostly Mozart and Spoleto Festival and regularly participates in the Marlboro Music Festival. Mr. Vrbsky has been active in the National Symphony Orchestra’s American Residency program since its inception in 1992, appearing in chamber concerts and giving master classes in several states.
