Kay Cameron
Kay Cameron is Music Director for Musical Theater at the Kennedy Center for the
Performing Arts. She has conducted over 75 musicals and operettas, 10 operas and
created orchestrations and/or arrangements for 20 other productions. Ms. Cameron
is honored to have worked with composers Cy Coleman, Jerry Herman and Maury Yeston
plus numerous talented artists, including Rudolf Nureyev and Butterfly McQueen.
Her score for A Christmas Carol was performed Off-Broadway and her arrangements
and orchestrations can be heard on the PBS Great Performances presentations of
Show Boat and The New Moon.

for the Broadway production of State Fair, starring John Davidson and conducted
the national tour of The Will Rogers Follies starring Keith Carradine,
Mac Davis and Larry Gatlin. Her work with Cy Coleman includes a concert at the
Kennedy Center honoring The American Broadway Composer, featuring Mr. Coleman
at the piano and the Kennedy Center Opera House Orchestra conducted by Ms. Cameron.
Most recently, she was music supervisor for the Sondheim Celebration at the Kennedy
Center.
