Tall Tall Trees (The Kennedy Center)

Tall Tall Trees

Tall Tall Trees began in 2006 as a side project for singer/songwriter Mike Savino, drummer Mathias Kunzli, and guitarist Kyle Sanna in New York City (the last place you might look for tall tall trees). Their self-titled debut album, released on their own Good Neighbor records in 2009 has been garnering attention for it’s unique blend of bluegrass and indie rock. With influences ranging from early rock and roll to Brazilian folk music and afrobeat, the band crafts intricate arrangements around Savino’s lyrically twisted songs telling stories of love, money, time, and space.
