In Old Man’s Daughter and Old Woman’s Daughter, Romanian puppeteer Dan Hândoreanu follows the adventures of two little girls as they grow up to become women.  Written by Ion Creang and directed by Dan Hândoreanu, the show is one of the most successful productions of Theater Gong. Premiered on April 20th, 1999, it belongs to the permanent repertoire of the theater with over 360 performances.Ion Creang (1837-1889) was one of the most important and most popular Romanian writers, also a deacon and schoolteacher. He was an ironical observer of human nature and a master of oral style.
