Theatre Se busca

In 1986, together with an actor from Liège, Belgium, Angel Ramos Sanchez created his first clown performance, Se Busca (Finding One’s Identity), which explores the theme of second-generation Spanish immigrants (he is one), and founded the eponymous theater company Théâtre Se Busca. At 33, he became a professional actor and devoted himself to creating what he calls his stage persona. Discovered by the public in 1988, at the 8th International Laughter Festival of Rochefort, Belgium where he won the 1st Jury Prize and the Public Prize, he began a full career (more than 2000 performances) with his creation Peppe, in the Shadow of the Spotlights which later became Waiting for Julio. In 1990, he was awarded the First Prize in Declamation at the Royal Conservatory of Music in Liège, followed in 1991 by First Prize in Oratory with highest distinction.  He completed his training in various theater techniques: vocal, body language, acrobatics, mime, improvisation, commedia dell’arte, masks, clowning, magic, and more.
