Daniel Contu

Daniel Contu was born in Cagliari on the beautiful island of Sardinia in Italy in 1975. After technical studies, he began travelling extensively as an entertainer to tourist villages, where he discovered his talent and love for acting and theatre. At 22, he was hired as an entertainer and began to study puppeteer’s theatre. At 26, he wrote and staged his first show, and was immediately noticed by the local cultural scene. Since then, his career has led him to win first prize of “Festival Internazionale San Giacomo Puppet Festival 2006," out of 30 companies from around the world.
