George Mason University Percussion Ensemble

The George Mason University Percussion Ensemble performs two major concerts each year on campus, as well as several outreach performances in the community. They are comprised of music majors, music minors, and talented members of the university community. The primary focus of the group is to perform significant literature from the percussion ensemble canon, as well as world premieres, experimental repertoire, world music, and collaborations with other instrumentalists. The ensemble is currently led by John Kilkenny, Director of Percussion Studies and Co- Director of the Symphonic Band at George Mason University. The Percussion Ensemble is one of many student ensembles and performing groups sponsored by the George Mason University School of Music.
