Azariah Tan Peng Chay

Azariah Tan Peng Chay is a third-year piano major studying with Albert  Tiu at the Yong Siew Toh Conservatory of Music, National University of  Singapore. He has received numerous awards including first prize at the 2009  National Piano and Violin Competition and at the 2005 Trinity College of London  Music Competition in Singapore, and second prize at the Third ASEAN Chopin  Competition in Kuala Lumpur (2008), among others. He  is also the recipient of the 2009 VSA International Young Soloists Award. He  was diagnosed with bilateral sensorineural hearing loss at the age of four and  has persevered in his study of music to achieve his wish to be an accomplished  musician.
