Born in the twin island republic of Trinidad and Tobago Francese has been singing since she was 4 years old. She has studied voice in her country and also here in America; though her degrees are in Spanish, Linguistics and Intercultural Communication. She has sung with several well known musical aggregates; like the Morgan State University Choir (with Dr. Nathan Carter), the UMBC Camerata Choir (with Dr. Samuel Gordon), the Sounds of Symmetry (with Elise Howard Morgan), the Holy Comforter St. Cyprian Gospel Choir (with Kenneth Louis), Patrick Lundy and the Ministers of Music, Friends in Music Ministry (with Viola Bradford), the Howard University Chapel Choir (with Ned Lewis), and the Heritage Signature Chorale (with Stanley Thurston).
Francese has been blessed to sing all over Europe and in such local venues as the Myerhoff Symphony Hall, the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, Carnegie Hall, the Pentagon, and the White House. Three years ago she became a recording artist with her independent project "Dear Diary ~ Journal of a Psalmist" and she recently released her second album; a Christmas project called "Songs from Mary's Heart.” Last season, Francese also made her symphonic debuts with the Alexandria Symphony and the Prince George's Philharmonic Orchestras.
Her other creative endeavors include cooking, crochet, painting, songwriting, interior design and interpreting for the deaf and hard of hearing at Greater Mt. Calvary Holy Church.
Francese has been a Spanish instructor for the better part of 2 decades, and now directs the LCD/ ESOL program for an area charter school. She recently accepted her call into the ministry and will graduate this summer from Calvary Bible Institute. She is blessed to have been asked to be involved in this evening's musical offering and gives the Lord all praise for the many ways in which He has blessed her.
