He was nominated for Tony, Drama Desk, and Olivier awards for Medea, won Best Designer at the 1994 Martini/TMA Awards for Medea and Saint Joan, was nominated for an Olivier Award for Le Cid and Saint Joan, and recently won an award for Rebecca in Vienna.
