Prudence Mabhena, a dynamic vocalist, has the unique ability to communicate with audiences from all walks of life. A native of Bulawayo, Zimbabwe, Ms. Mabhena is the lead singer of the band Liyana and the subject of the critically acclaimed film Music by Prudence, which won the 2009 Academy Award for Best Documentary, Short Subject.
