Subcontinental Drift

Subcontinental Drift is a collective of South Asian American artists and organizers, based in Washington, D.C., whose goal is to provide a platform for artists who aspire to express themselves creatively, but lack a venue in which to do so. Presenting the basement talents of the District's desis, today's performance will present different perspectives of South Asian American cultures through spoken word artists, comedians, and storytellers who are part of the Subcontinental Drift community.Featured Artists include Hawah, Writer/Activist, Aparna Nancherla, Comedian, Zehra Fazal, Performer/Playwight, Gowri Koneswaran, Poet, Vijai Nathan, Comedian, and Shahid Buttar, Musician/poet.
