Hailing from Orange County, California, Lily Bee has been making music since age five when her mom signed her up for piano lessons. At age 14, she locked herself in a room with her mother’s guitar and taught herself the chords to “Louie, Louie” and began writing her own songs. Since then, she has added the ukulele, violin, and some mean egg shakers to her instrumental repertoire. While citing early classical influences from her piano training, Lily Bee’s musical style reflects her lighthearted nature yet carries the weight of a broad life experience. At 22, she has completed a full marathon, written and directed a musical, been the coordinator of a hip hop dance team, worked on Capitol Hill, served in AmeriCorps, and traveled to various countries around the world, all of which contribute to her unique perspective as a singer/songwriter.

Formed in July 2009, Ivy Rose is made up of Martina San Diego on lead vocals and rhythm guitar, Sarah De Leon on lead guitar, Isabelle De Leon on drums, and Kristine De Leon on bass. What inspired their music? Perhaps it was their attendance of the 2009 Vans Warped Tour...or, just like the story that is continually told, a hummingbird flying by on a summer day invoked the muse in all of them. Nonetheless, contributing each of their talents and creative ingenuity, they establish a sweet rock sound that sometimes takes a darker edge. Influences include The Cranberries, Meg & Dia, and Vedera, who inspire their sound, but others such as Muse, The Cure, and Hotspur inspire them to make music.

Although the band has been together for less than a year, their hard work and dedication have allowed them to perform at venues such as D.A.R. Constitution Hall, the D.C. Armory, 9:30 Club, University of Maryland's Byrd Stadium, and in cities such as Toronto and New York City. They were the 2010 1st place winners of the Quest Battle of the Bands in Damascus, Maryland, 2010 2nd place winners of the Next Big Thing Tour Battle of the Bands at the 9:30 Club in D.C.; and won UMD's SEE 2010 Battle of the Bands which earned them the opening spot at UMD's Art Attack XXVII where they opened for Ben Folds and Weezer. They have also performed with acclaimed acts such as Kitchie Nadal, Martin Nievera, Gary Valenciano, and the AJ Rafael band.

The Dhoonya Dance Performance Company (DDPC) is the official dance company of Dhoonya Dance, LLC. The Performance Company is a co-ed dance company comprised of some of the most elite and talented South Asian dancers. The dancers of DDPC share their collective expertise in a variety of South Asian, Middle Eastern and Western dance forms, including Bollywood; Indian Classical (Bharatanatyam and Kathak); Indian Folk (Bhangra, Garba/Raas, Marathi); hip hop; jazz; lyrical/modern; and bellydance to create unique choreography as further enhanced by this select group's unmatched energy and excitement.

About Kollaboration

Kollaboration is an Asian and Pacific Islander (API) organization and movement that was founded in 2000 by Executive Director Paul "PK" Kim. Under the guidance of Executive Producer Roy Choi, Kollaboration became officially incorporated as a 501(c) 3 non-profit organization in January of 2006 and became an Asian and Pacific Islander organization. (Previously it focused on the Korean American community) Kollaboration is an annual event and movement produced by young Asian and Pacific Islander professionals and students, volunteering their time and skills to celebrate the vast talents of their community and hopefully bring them into the mainstream.
