Bruncvík Boys’ Choir Quartet (Uncredited)

Bruncvík Boys’ Choir Quartet

The Bruncvík Boys’ Choir Quartet is made up of four young men who received their training in the Bruncvík Boys’ Choir. The Boys’ Choir was established in spring 2006 by Lenka Pištecká. While providing the children with voice training and general musical education Pištecká also applies her talent to developing the children’s characters as a whole, for at all times the voice reflects each personality. With the founding of the choir, it is also director Pištecká’s aim to augment the number of boys choirs in the Czech Republic to a total of five (in addition to Boni pueri – Hradec Králové, Pueri gaudentes – Prague, Bonifantes – Pardubice, Páni kluci – Litomerice) and thus to gain a status somewhat closer to European traditions (especially Germany, Austria, Scandinavian countries) where boys choirs are a natural component of the music cultivated in the respective countries. In those countries, such choirs are also perceived as an effective social institution, for they are extremely effective in forming the youngest male population, whereby the emphasis on team work and a closer knowledge of cultural values generates honorable and cultured adults.
