Kailash Kher’s Kailasa

A renowned pop star, Bollywood playback singer, and television celebrity, Kailash Kher is one of the leading figures in Indian pop music today. He shot to fame in 2004 with his hit Allah ke Bandhe. Together with Naresh and Paresh Kamath—fixtures on the Indian rock & pop scene—Kher formed the band Kailasa in 2005. Combining Kher’s strong traditional folk sensibilities and lyrics invoking Sufi mysticism with Naresh and Paresh’s more modern rock, electronic, and funk influences, Kailasa has proved to be a big hit with audiences in India and around the world.
