Gottaswing

Tom Koerner and Debra Sternberg began dancing Jitterbug and Lindy Hop together in 1987 and began their teaching career with a weekly swing class in 1994. As their teaching enterprise grew and more teachers were added, they formed Gottaswing LLC in 2005. Gottaswing instructors now offer classes at 10 locations, five nights a week, teaching over 500 people a week and introducing over 4,000 new dancers to swing each year. The most successful promoters of live swing dance music in the nation, they currently offer live music on a weekly basis, and produce numerous special events. Tom and Debra were honored to have been chosen by the Smithsonian Institute as their swing dance instructors and performers at the National World War II Memorial Celebration in May 2004.
