American soprano Emily Albrink, a 2008-10 Domingo-Cafritz Young Artist, last appeared with WNO as Sophie in Werther (2012). Additional roles at WNO include Frasquita in Carmen (2008), Echo in Ariadne auf Naxos (2009), and Barbarina in The Marriage of Figaro (2010). Her young career already sports collaborations with venerable conductors and composers such as James Levine, Marin Alsop, Plácido Domingo, and Jake Heggie. Noted past performances include Adina in L’elisir d’amore at Kentucky Opera, Pamina in Die Zauberflöte with the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra, and her Alice Tully Hall debut singing Knoxville: Summer of 1915. She also sang Nuria in Ainadamar with the Orchestra of St. Luke’s at Carnegie Hall and Despina in Così fan tutte, conducted by Levine. Upcoming performances include Julie Jordan in Carousel with Ash Lawn Opera and Musetta in La bohème with Kentucky Opera.
