Tiê and Tulipa Ruiz

Brazilian singer-songwriter Tiê began making music in 2007 when she recorded a four song EP. She started touring solo the following year, and in 2009, released her debut album Sweet Jardim, which included her own songs in addition to partnerships and versions of songs by friends such as Tulipa and Thiago Pethit. Tiê launched her second CD A Coruja e o Coração (“The Owl and the Heart”) this year by Warner Music Brasil. Tiê will perform at the Rock in Rio festival, which will be held in Rio de Janeiro in October 2011.Tulipa Ruíz is Brazil's newest sensation, shooting to prominence following well-received and critically acclaimed live performances.
