Yuri Gorodetsky
Belarusian tenor Yuri Gorodetski is in his first year of Washington National Opera's Domingo–Cafritz Young Artist. This season he can be seen with WNO as Don Ottavio in Don Giovanni (Emerging Artists Performance). He has been a soloist at the Belarus National Opera Theatre since 2006, singing such roles as Lensky in Eugene Onegin, Tamino in Die Zauberflöte, Mozart in Mozart and Salieri, and Vladimir in Prince Igor. Other engagements include Almaviva (Il barbiere di Siviglia) at the Minsk Opera Theatre, First Jew (Salome) at the Opéra de Liége, Conte Errico (from Haydn's La Vera costanza) in Madrid and Ly–Lam (L'inimico delle donne) in Treviso, Italy. He is a graduate of the Mogilev Music College and the Belarusian State Academy of Music, and has studied at the Modena Academy of Music.
