The Fender Benders

The Fender Benders is one of five combo bands currently part of the Kids Rock Free band program at the Fender Center in Corona, California.  Developed and led by Band Director and Music Chairperson, Lee Zimmer, the program serves as both a platform for students to perform on stage while also promoting the Kids Rock Free music education program.  The kids that perform in the band program are those that have studied and learned music and performance in the classes at the Fender Center’s Kids Rock Free program. Through the years members have changed, but the Fender Benders as a band name has been a constant since the program’s beginning in 1999.  They continue to perform at numerous local events, have opened for Steve Miller, Paul Rodgers, and Berlin, and now they have been given the opportunity to perform at the Kennedy Center in Washington, DC.
