The German group theater die baustelle (theatre building site) enchants audiences with scenes full of magic and fabulous impressions. The shortened version of Humperdincks famous opera Hänsel and Gretel is performed with children in the roles of Hänsel and Gretel. Richard Bargel and Janina Burgmer, professional well-known singers in Germany, perform the roles of father and witch. While the texts are spoken in English, the songs are performed in German. Born in London, England, Joëlle Bargel completed her dance education at the Arts Educational Schools and at the Balham School of Dancing in London, as well as at The Centre De Danse International Rosella Hightower in Cannes, France.
