Peter Brice (Chris Undi)

Peter Brice

Peter Brice plays Irish Traditional music on the button accordion and sings old songs in a traditional style. A protégé of Irish accordionist Billy McComiskey, Mr. Brice has pursued Irish music with a regard for the playing of Galway old-style button accordionists such as Joe Cooley, Kevin Keegan, and Raymond Roland. Likewise, under the tutelage of singers Dónal Maguire and Louis Killen, and shepherded by his interest in the past, Mr. Brice pursued traditional singing at an intersection of history, musicology, and the oral tradition; his repertoire of songs is rich in detail and thick with music.
