Christopher Myers is an artist and writer who lives in Brooklyn. His work has been exhibited at PS1/MoMA, the Art Institute of Chicago, Contrasts Gallery in Shanghai, and a bunch of other places. His children's books work has received several awards, including a Caldecott Honor for the book Harlem with his father Walter Dean Myers, and Coretta Scott King Honors for his book Black Cat. He is currently in Southeast Asia writing a young adult novel about child soldiers, but he is eagerly returning to the States to see the Kennedy Center's production of The Wings of Ikarus Jackson.
