Daniele Rustioni

At the age of 28, Daniele Rustioni is one of the most exciting conductors of his generation. He made his operatic debut with Cavalleria rusticana by Mascagni at the age of 24 in the staging of Liliana Cavani at the Mikhailovsky Theatre in St. Petersburg, in January 2008: acclaimed by the public and the critics, he has been appointed as the Principal Guest Conductor of the second opera stage in St. Petersburg for the following two seasons. In October 2010 Daniele Rustioni made his debut conducting the historical Jean-Pierre Ponnelle's production of L'occasione fa il ladro by Rossini at Teatro alla Scala, Milan and he has been immediately re-invited to conduct La bohème in October 2012.
