Alyson Cambridge's rich, warm soprano, combined with her strikingly beautiful stage presence and her affecting musical and dramatic interpretation, have brought her success on the opera stages of leading theatres in the United States as well as future debuts in musical capitols in Europe and Asia. Her lyric soprano repertoire includes the roles of Mimi in La bohéme, Violetta in La traviata, Liu in Il turandot, the title role in Manon, Marguerite in Faust, Donna Elvira in Don Giovanni, Contessa in Le nozze di Figaro, and Micaëla in Carmen.
Highlights of her 2011-12 season included her debuts with Deutsche Oper Berlin as Donna Elvira, with Lyric Opera of Chicago as Giulietta in Les contes d'Hoffmann and as Julie in Show Boat, and as Mimi in La bohéme with Hungarian National Opera. Upcoming engagements include Mimi in La bohéme at Opera Grand Rapids and her return to the Washington National Opera for Show Boat.
Her 2010-11 season included two European debuts - first with Polish National Opera as Violetta in then as Donna Elvira with Savonlinna Opera Festival.
