As a member of Washington National Opera's Domingo-Cafritz Young Artist Program for three seasons from 2008-2011, Jennifer Lynn Waters entered her professional career with considerable experience. She possesses vocal versatility with strength, size and coloratura, all in her full four-octave range.
She recently completed her assignments in the 2010-11 season with WNO singing the title role of Madame Butterfly in the Young Artist production and as Kate Pinkerton in the main stage production. She also sang the role of Diana in the Iphigénie en Tauride along with Plácido Domingo in the star cast. While in her residency at WNO she sang Frasquita in Carmen, Najade in Ariadne auf Naxos, Woglinde in Götterdämmerung, Contessa Almaviva in the Young Artist production of Le nozze di Figaro and Alice Ford in the LookIn performances of Falstaff.
