Anna Siminska

Born in Lódz in Poland, Anna Siminska studied at the Frédéric Chopin Musikakademie in Warsaw and at the Kunstuniversität Graz and soon took part in the Salzburg Festival Young Singers Program and appeared at both Festival d'Aix-en-Provence and Osterfestspielen Salzburg as Woglinde in Götterdämmerung. Anna's highlights of last seasons were Amina in La Sonnambula (Graz), Clorinde in La Cenerentola (Glyndebourne Festival on tour), Giulietta in I Capuleti e i Montecchi (Graz), Sandrina in La finta giardiniera (Bonn), and Ilia in Idomeneo (Komische Oper Berlin), Bach's H moll Mass (North Netherlands Orchestra), Gilda in Rigoletto (Limoges, Chaliapin Festival in Kazan, Russia, Lithuanian National Opera and Ballet Theatre in Vilnius), and the title part in The Nightingale (Warsaw). Recent and upcoming appearances of Anna as The Queen of the Night include performances in State Opera Berlin, Komische Oper Berlin, Frankfurt, Vienna State Opera (also on tour in Japan), Semperoper Dresden, and Covent Garden London.  March 2014.
