Jennifer Armstrong

Jennifer Armstrong has spent a lifetime with stories, songs and tunes. She grew up in a musical family in Wilmette, Illinois, where her parents were called ôthe mom and pop of the Chicago folk music scene.ö Her autobiographical theater pieces, Woman Song and Carry the Song, have been enthusiastically received across the country and at the 1998 National Storytelling Festival. She has eight recordings of music and storytelling and her poetry and essays have been published in a variety of magazines and anthologies. In her performances Armstrong relates Celtic, Appalachian and personal stories interwoven with songs and poetry.
