Camerata Australia

Camerata Australia, comprising some of AustraliaÆs finest emerging instrumentalists, is a chamber orchestra of the highest caliber. Senior members of the Australian Youth Orchestra formed Camerata Australia in 1991, when the outbreak of the Gulf War prevented a planned tour of North and South America by the full Orchestra. Camerata Australia completed the tour to great acclaim, including a performance in Carnegie Hall in New York. Camerata Australia continues to provide many young Australians with performance opportunities that assist in their development as fine musicians. For many, Camerata Australia has been the first major step towards a professional career.
