Jeff Ball

Flutist Jeff Ball started out as a soloist, but, through the writing and recording collaborations on his albums, he has ended up with a band of musicians who have known each other for years through the diverse local music scene in the Washington area. Dylan McLeod and Sennen Quigley trade the work on guitar leads and rhythms as well as parts on the piano and organ. Randy Ball handles the bass, and Ted Natale plays the drums and percussion. The players borrow inspiration from a myriad of musical backgrounds such as Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, Bella Fleck, Martin Medeski & Wood, RadioHead, and Stevie Wonder. Jeff Ball was the 2001 winner of the “Native Heart” NAMMY, and was a 1998 Native American Music Award nominee for Best Flutist.
